Daisy Huddleson Rites May 26

Daisy Violet Huddleson, 66, died at her home in Osceola on Monday, May 24. Funeral services were held from the Webster-Kale Funeral Home in Osceola on Wednesday, May 26, with the Rev. Ivan C. Bys officiating at the 3 p.m. service. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Daisy Violet Huddleson was born March 8, 1910, in Decatur County, Iowa, daughter of Charles Deemer and Olive Sams Deemer. She attended schools in Madison, Warren and Clarke counties and on January 14, 1929, was married to Harold Huddleson in Osceola. Five children were born to this union.

She lived the greater share of her life in Clarke County where she was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of the Firemen’s Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of Osceola; son, William Carl Huddleson and wife, Bobby of Ventura, California; daughter, Mrs. Norma Bassett and husband, Charles of Osceola, son, Robert Huddleson and wife, Betty of Des Moines, daughter, Mrs. Fonda Brodsack and husband, Robert of Oskaloosa, daughter, Mrs. Shirley Conley and husband, Tom of Rock Falls, Illinois, one brother, Raymond Deemer of Weldon, one sister, Mrs. Loman Hulbert of Osceola, nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
