Otto White, 59, died at his home on North Jackson street Sunday afternoon. He had been ill for some time.

Services will be held at the Miller Funeral home Wednesday, March 1, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lloyd Latta of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood addition to Maple Hill cemetery.

Otto White, son of Christopher C. and Louise White, was born in Montgomery county, Ill., June 21, 1890, and died in Osceola, Feb. 26, 1950, at the age of 59 years, 8 months and 5 days.

He was united in marriage to Mary Clark, Sept. 6, 1916, in Pekin, Ill. And to this union one daughter and eight sons were born.

The family moved to Madison county in 1921 and about two years later came to Clarke county which has been their home ever since except for about 2 ½ years when White worked on a farm near Lorimor.

White worked in and around Osceola as a carpenter for about seven years. He joined the Methodist church in Illinois when a young man.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Viola May Brown; eight sons, Ernest R., Raymond O., Elmer E., Albert G., Donald D., Jerald L., Milford H., all of Osceola, and Clifford L. who is in the navy; four brothers; one sister; nieces and nephews and other relatives.
