CLARA PARKER DIED MARCH 24

Mrs. Clara M. Parker of Winterset died last Wednesday March 24, at Memorial hospital here. She was 88 years of age.

Mrs. Parker was born near Riverside, in Washington county, on June 12, 1882, but lived most of her life in Madison county. She was a daughter of Austin and Margaret Fowler Bray.

She was married at Winterset on March 22, 1899, to Charles A. Parker, who preceded her in death. They were parents of 11 children, five of whom survive their mother.

Mrs. Parker was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are four sons, John Parker of Des Moines, and Glen, William and Raymond Parker of Winterset, a daughter, Mrs. Wilma McDonald of near Winterset, 31 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 20 great, great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Newton Coughenour, pastor of the First United Methodist church of Winterset. Burial was made in the Wiota cemetery.
