Florence Eva Linn, daughter of Clarence and Myrtle Libby Linn, was born November 20, 1909 in St. Charles, Madison County, Iowa. The family moved to Greene County where Florence attended school.

On December 4, 1925 Florence was united in marriage with Roy Parker in Coon Rapids, Iowa and they lived for many years in Greene County. In 1948 they moved to a farm south of Redfield and for several years she worked at the Redfield Produce. In 1962 they moved into Dexter, Florence worked at the R. & S. Café in Redfield and became owner/operator until she sold it in 1974.

She kept active working part time for several different businesses, enjoyed traveling with her children and was greatly loved by all her family, giving each one her special kind of attention.

Preceding her in death were her husband Roy; two infant children; her parents; one sister and one brother.

She is survived by four sons: Robert and wife Joan of Evansdale, Iowa, Russell and wife Carol of Winterset, Iowa, Norman and wife Judy of Jefferson, Iowa, Marion and wife Jean of Earlham, Iowa; two daughters, Dorothy Boham and husband Jim of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Phyllis Rosenberger and husband Bill of Churdan, Iowa; three brothers, Earl of Glidden, Iowa, Lloyd of Des Moines, Iowa and Darrell of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted December 5, 1990 at the United Methodist Church, Dexter, Iowa with Reverend Jill Flyr officiating. Robert Lawson provided organ music. Pallbearers were Richard Wells, Harry Blackburn, Ray Lenocker, Dennis Simpson, Kenneth Lenocker and James Clausen. Interment was in Dillavou Cemetery, Scranton, Iowa.
