Evelyn Kalbach Mullins was born on August 12, 1922 to Roy and Doris Kalbach near Earlham, Madison County, Iowa. She died on March 16, 1990 at her home in Lake Wales, Florida following a year-long bout with cancer.

She was a graduate of Stuart high school and attended Drake University.

She was a professional dancer, known as one of the three “Kay Sisters” from 1935 – 1945.

She was married to Jack Taylor in December 1945. To this union were born four children: Jack of Winter Haven, Florida, Evelyn Kay Lake of Lake Wales, Robert of Atlanta, Georgia, and Rayette Joy Davis of Lake Wales. Her husband Jack passed away in 1974.

In June of 1981 Evelyn was married to Frank Mullins of Lake Wales, Florida.

She was a self-employed seamstress for many years and belonged to the West Side Baptist Church.

She had four grandchildren that she cared for and loved. She and Frank raised one grandson, Dustin.

Preceding her in death were her parents Roy and Doris Kalbach; one brother, Kenneth Kalbach; one niece, Cindy Kalbach Schroder, and one brother-in-law, Gordon Smith.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Frank; two daughters; two sons; four grandchildren; one brother Don and wife Leona Kalbacch; two sisters, Marguerite and husband Gene Lillie and Alice Smith of Tucson, Arizona; a sister-in-law, Charlene Kalbach of Menlo; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral was held at Marion Nelson Chapel with interment at Lake Wales Cemetery.
