Page 13, Columns 1, 2, 3Louise Alice, daughter of George Washington and Grace Gertrude Shoafstall Ragan, was born August 2, 1914 at Creston, Iowa and passed away May 17, 1979 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, Iowa.
She was raised in Anita, Iowa and resided there until her marriage on November 26, 1932 at Maryville, Missouri to Elmer C. J. Reimers. Three children were born to this union. They were members of the Stuart community at various times for a total of 17 years.
Her husband, Elmer, preceded her in death in 1974. Others preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Lloyd Ragan, and a sister, Inez Sappenfield.
Surviving are her three children: Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Morrison of Earlham, Iowa, David Reimers of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ronald Reimers of Kansas City, Missouri, 17 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a sister, Iona Harwood of Winterset, Iowa, a brother, Lester Ragan, of Pittsburg, Kansas, many other relatives and friends.
The Rev. Norman Luecht officiated at the funeral service on Saturday, May 19, 1979 at Link Funeral Home in Stuart. Organ music was provided by Barry Williams. Caring for the floral tributes were Mrs. Sally Knudsen and Mrs. Max Madesen. Casket bearers were Ronald Reimers, Sr., Ronald Reimers, Jr., Steven Reimers, Raymond Morrison, Richard Morrison, and Roger Morrison. Interment was in South Oak Grove Cemetery, Stuart, Iowa.
