Ruby Claire, daughter of Clarence R. and Edith C. Henkle Fritz, was born in a farm in Madison County, Iowa on January 1, 1900 and passed away at the Community Care Center in Stuart, Iowa on December 14, 1980 at the age of 80 years, 11 months and 14 days.

She attended rural school, graduated from Menlo High School, took Normal Training at Highland Park College in Des Moines and taught in schools in Adair and Madison counties.

She received Jesus as her Savior and joined the Menlo Methodist Church at an early age, where she was an active and faithful member. She was also active in Beaver Homemakers, Wednesday Club and Menlo Study Club for many years.

On April 27, 1921 she was united in marriage to Robert Glenn Dickson and two children were born to this union. The lived their entire life in the Menlo community.

She was a helpmate to her husband and labored unceasingly for her family, leaving a heritage of love and steadfast faith.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Glenn, her children, Elaine and her husband, Ted Johnson, of Onawa, Robert and his wife, Mary, of Menlo, two sisters, Esther Varley, of Stuart, and Helen Collins, of Algona, four brothers, Charles, of Rippey, Fred, of Paton, LeRoy, of Winterset, and Donald of Churdan; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Rev. Emmanuel Tabelisma officiated at the funeral service on December 16, 1980 at the United Methodist Church in Menlo. Mrs. Larry Sanborn provided the organ music and accompanied the congregational singing. Caring for the floral tributes were Mrs. Glenn Stevenson and Mrs. Franklin Groomes. Casket bearers were George Stemm, Jerome Dickson, Craig Dickson, Leon Stevenson, Mark Frisbie, and Roger Tibben. Interment was in Rosehill cemetery, Menlo, Iowa.
