ORLOFF LULL, AGED 88, PASSED FRIDAY

Veteran Resident Came to Madison County As Small Child

Orloff Lull, one of Madison county’s oldest citizens and a resident of the county since boyhood, died last Friday at the home of his son, W. H. Lull, in Union township. He was 88 years of age.

Mr. Lull was born in Ohio on August 7, 1849, the son of Timothy and Mary Lull. As a small boy he came with his parents to Madison county. He was married on February 14, 1875 to Anna Troub. They were the parents of four children. His wife died in 1929.

He leaves a daughter, Mrs Mabel Lawrentz of Des Moines; three sons, W. H. Lull of Winterset and Alonzo and Harry Lull of Des Moines; a brother, Rex Lull of Hadm, Kan.; two half-sisters, Mrs. F. Missildine and Mrs, Vira Ferris of Des Mines; and one half-brother, Convers Lull of Minnesota. He also leaves 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home Monday in charge of the Rev. L. F. Davis. Burial was made in the Jordan cemetery west of Des Moines. Services at the cemetery were conducted by members of West Des Moines lodge No. 604, I.O.O.F., of which he was a member, assisted by Madison lodge No. 160 of Winterset.
