ROBERT L. (BOB) BRIDGES, aged 76, passed away Friday evening at Braswell’s Yucaipa (CA) Valley Convalescent Hospital after a battle with lung cancer and emphysema. He was the son of Lawson and Helen Bridges, born December 9, 1928 in Winterset, Iowa. He lived in Des Moines, Iowa before coming to California in 1953. He was a certified welder at Overly Door and Frame Co. in Los Angeles, at Marketeer in Redlands and later worked in construction. He was a resident of Yucaipa for 42 years. He loved fishing, hunting and gold prospecting.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Mildred (Millie), his sister Kathlenn of Des Moines, Iowa and several nephews and nieces. Viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, January19, 2005 from 5 to 8 pm and Thursday, January 20 from 11 until service time at 1:00 pm at Desert Lawn Funeral Home in Calimesa. Burial will be private at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, Calimesa, CA.
