Former Arthur Resident Dies

Mrs. Mary Ida Ellis, 88, 1711 Ross street, who had resided in Sioux City 35 years, died Tuesday, March 22.

Mrs. Ellis was born August 2, 1866 at Winterset, Iowa. She and her husband G. M. Ellis owned and operated a general store in Arthur for many years begore moving to Sioux City. She was a member and past matron of Arthur chapter, O.E.S.

Surviving are a brother, M. Claude Berry of Vancouver Island, Canada; a nephew and a niece both of Sioux City.

Funeral services were held in Sioux City and burial was in the Ida Grove cemetery.
