Lena Belle Gracey Mumper, daughter of George M. and Alice Gray Gracey, was born October 29, 1883, in Madison County, Iowa. She passed away at the Clarke County hospital Saturday, April 5, 1958, at the age of 74 years, 6 months and 6 days.

She spent her girlhood in Madison county. At the age of 19 she moved to Osceola where she made her home until the time of her death.

She was united in marriage to William D. Mumper February 18, 1906. To this union one son, George Allen, was born.

She has been an active member of the Christian church for many years and was very active in the Loyal Daughters class of the church school. She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebecca lodge.

Mrs. Mumper leaves to cherish her memory her son George and daughter-in-law Edna; two grandchildren, Alecia Glenn of Liberty, Mo., and Anita Campbell at home; three sisters, Miss Sylvia Gracey of Des Moines and Mrs. Goldie McNair of Osceola; two brothers, Mr. Edwin Gracey of Broken Bow, Nebr., and Leonard Gracey of Osceola; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband and three brothers.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Warren Hile at the Webster Funeral Home Tuesday, April 8, 1958, at 2 o’clock. Music was furnished by Emil Rinderspacher with Amy Ruth Harlan at the organ. Burial was in Longview cemetery at Osceola.
