Demise of Nimrod Miller

Nimrod Miller was born May 22, 1839, Dark county, Ohio; and died at Stuart, Iowa, July 4, 1907, being 67 years, 1 month and 12 days old. He was married to Mary Ann Armstrong at Dark county, Ohio, November 14, 1861.

To this union was born eight children, five girls and three boys. There are seven children living, one son dying June 19, 1898.

He enlisted in Company D, 88th Ohio volunteers October 1, 1862, and was discharged October 1, 1865, at Camp Chase.

Mr. Miller came to Madison county, Iowa, in 1870 and to Stuart in 1887.

He united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Penn Center, Iowa, about thirty years ago, later changing his membership to Stuart. He was a kind father, a loving husband and a good neighbor.

The funeral was held at the M. E. church Saturday morning at 11 o’clock, Rev. Miller preaching the funeral service.
