A former resident and school teacher here died in Florida Jan. 15. W. F. B. Clevenger, 69, was a former rural school teacher in both Warren and Madison counties. He was married in August 1915, to Miss Ethel Quick who died in May of 1926. They had one son, Newell Clevenger now of Port Tampa City, Fla.

Mr. Clevenger farmed in Crawford township for several years, after which he went to Des Moines where he was employed at the Des Moines post office for a number of years. While in Des Moines, Mrs. Clevenger died. Several years later he remarried and after retirement, in 1949, he and his second wife moved to Florida.

The remains was cremated and the ashes scattered on the waters of the bay near Port Tampa City.
