Funeral services were held in Lorimor this Monday for C. Hobson Bishop, a lifetime resident of Madison County. Mr. Bishop died last Friday, March 7, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset, at the age of 76.
Churchill Hobson Bishop was born in Madison County on October 14, 1898, the son of Henry C. and Eva Showers Bishop. A retired farmer, he was affiliated with the United Methodist Church at Lorimor.
Survivors include one brother, Orville Bishop of Martinez, Calif.; and five sisters, Lillian Bishop of Lorimor, Mrs. Ralph Smith of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. True Shade of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Claire Wight of Murray, and Mrs. Joe Walls of Romoland, Calif. Also surviving are three nephews and one niece.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 10, at the Methodist Church in Lorimor, with the Rev. Stanley M. Ballard of Calmar, Iowa officiating. Burial was in the Lorimor Cemetery.
