Death of Former Resident

Word has been received here of the death of Clyde C. Abrahams of Keokuk, February 18th at Keokuk Area Hospital East.

Clyde Abrahams was born December 24, 1906 in Winterset, Iowa the son of William and Grace Westcott Abrahams. On September 20, 1929 he was married to Gladys O’Neal at Winterset. In 1933 they moved to Keokuk where he was employed at Rowes and Tigue Motors until his retirement. He was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Mrs. Tom (Leona) Nixon of Keokuk, a son Paul of Ft. Madison, two brothers, George of Winterset and Charles of California; two sisters, Mary Null of California and Laura Kobarg of Galveston, Texas; eight grandchildren and a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1976, his parents and a brother James.

Funeral services were held February 20th at 1 p.m. at the Schmidt-Vigen Memorial Home with Rev. A. H. Bauch officiating. Burial was in Sunset Gardens.
