The funeral of J. M. Archer, who died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Scott Wise, was held at the church in Wick last Monday. Mr. Archer had eaten a hearty dinner on Friday, and soon afterwards was seized by heart dilation, and lived but a few hours.
His wife, who was Miss Stenia Hamm, died twenty-one years ago. Mr. Archer was in the 76th year of his life.
