Funeral Services Will be This Thursday

Will Moore passed away Sunday afternoon at the Mental Health Institute at Clarinda.

Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church.

Death Takes William Moore

Funeral Services Feb. 3 at Methodist Church

Services for William Moore, who passed away January 30, were held Thursday, Feb 3 at the Methodist church, with Rev. Clyde King, officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. K. M. Chapler, organist, and Ross Leeper, soloist. Casket bearers were Lloyd Hadley, James Adkins, James McMenamin, James Hill, Harry Dunmire and John Love. Flower ladies were Mrs. Lloyd Hadley, Mrs. James McMenamin and Miss Della Gowdy. Interment was at the Dexter cemetery.

Those attending from out of town were Mrs. John Koelman of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Knight of Shelby, and others from Winterset, Earlham and Stuart.

William Ross Moore, son of J. W. and Hannah Moore, was born July 9, 1871, in Boone county, Iowa, and died January 30, 1955, at the age of 83 years, 6 months and 21 days.

He was the youngest of six children, all but one of whom preceded him in death. He has one sister, Mrs. Clara Woods, of Santa Monica, Calif.

He was united in marriage to Essie Leeper on December 20, 1899. To this union were born three children, George of Hudson, Ohio; Mable of Highland Park, Illinois and Harold of 29 Palm, California.

He became a member of the United Presbyterian church in Des Moines at the time he was attending Drake University. He was a great lover of music and sang in the choir in the United Presbyterian church at Pitzer. After his marriage he joined the Methodist church and has been a member there since. He lived most of his life in the Dexter community.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Essie, their three children, George, Mable and Harold; three grandsons, as well as many friends.
