Beverly Jean Garris

Beverly Jean Garris, daughter of Calvin Clayton Adams and Roena Merlin (Snethen) Adams was born March 23, 1950 in Maryville, Missouri and passed from this life Friday, March 17, 2017 at Southern Hills Specialty Care in Osceola, Iowa at 66 years of age.

Jean moved to Mt Ayr at a young age with her family and graduated from Mt Ayr High School. She later attended classes at Simpson College in Indianola. Jean was united in marriage to Gary LeRoy Garris on July 4, 1977 at Winterset, Iowa.

Jean was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren's sporting activities. She enjoyed the outdoors, with her horses, camping and her dogs. Jean also enjoyed crocheting, quilting and was a huge Broncos and Cardinals fans, there was always a ballgame on at their house. Dancing was a great love of Jean, she learned this joy from her parents and she loved going to many dances with Gary.

Jean was a very caring person and hard worker, dedicating many years in the medical field as a nurse's aid and multiple positions leading up to activities coordinator. She also worked many years as her church secretary. A great job she really enjoyed was working at the dairy farm, milking cows. She always told her family of the great joy that was. Jean was a very active church member and was currently a member of the Life of Grace Church in Osceola. .

Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Gene.

Jean leaves to cherish her memory; husband, Gary LeRoy Garris of Murray, IA, daughter, Michelle (Darrell) Beem of Truro, IA, son, Ernest Troy (Kristi) Garris of Johnston, IA, son, Adam Rey Garris of Murray, IA, grandsons, Zachary and Tanner Beem and Clayton Garris, and granddaughter, Shailey Beem, her parents, Calvin and Roena Adams of Mt Ayr, IA, brother, Steve (Linda) Adams of Perry, IA, brother, Rick (Madeline) Adams of Osceola, IA as well as other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Family for a fitting tribute to be decided at a later date.
