January 5, 1950 - March 6, 2017

Sheri Capps, 67, of Earlham, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset, where family will be present at these times.

A private family burial will be held at a later date in the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.

Sharon Kay Capps, daughter of Robert and Betty (Douglas) Reynolds, was born January 5, 1950 in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended school in Earlham and graduated from Earlham High in 1968. Sheri worked at Larson Dental Office in Winterset, where she met Earl Capps. The couple was united in marriage on January 25, 1975 in St. Charles, Iowa. She later worked at the Winterset Eye Clinic for many years and they moved to Earlham in 2004 where she worked at Montross Pharmacy in Earlham.

Sheri enjoyed being with friends, and sharing meals with them. She also enjoyed her work with Montross which gave her the opportunity to visit with everyone who came in. Sheri was a talented decorator who kept her house looking uniquely beautiful. Above all else, she was a devoted wife, aunt and friend who cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are husband of 42 years, Earl Capps of Earlham; countless nieces, nephews, in-laws and a host of friends.

Sheri was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Betty Reynolds and brother, Rick Reynolds.
