Mrs. August (Effie V.) Faust of Stuart passed away just after five o’clock Saturday afternoon, May 16 at the Dexter Clinic Hospital after an illness and hospitalization of over six weeks. Mrs. Faust is survived by her husband, August; two daughters, Mrs. Burdette Spiker of Malvern, Mrs. Robert Furste of Des Moines; and two sons, Floyd and Billy of Stuart. The Faust family lived south of Dexter for several years and are well-known in this community. Mrs. Faust was a sister-in-law of Mrs. Hilma Faust and a cousin of Mrs. Stella Wetrich, both of Dexter.
The services for Mrs. Faust were held at the Methodist Church in Stuart on Tuesday afternoon, May 19, Reverend Hugh Williams officiated at the rites. Mrs. John Guthrey presided at the organ.
Flowers were arranged by Mrs. Bea Hagerty, Mrs. Maude Moore, and Mrs. Harold Gilman. The casketbearers were Elvin Green, Merlin Green, James Ogle, Ronnie Ogle, Harold Gilman, and George Wheeler.
Burial was in the South Oak Grove cemetery at Stuart. Services were arranged by the Bufkin funeral home.
