Milo Ward, who was a resident of Winterset many years ago died at his home in Los Angeles, California, after a brief illness. Mr. Ward came here in the early seventies, and ran a drug store, where the north side pool hall is now located. He left here in the eighties and went to Des Moines, later moving to Los Angeles.
Mr. Ward always retained a warm interest in Winterset and in Winterset people, and was preparing a letter of reminiscence to the Madisonian when his fatal illness came. For many years he made his home with, and was tenderly cared for during his declining years by his daughter, Miss Clara. Mr. Ward celebrated his 80th birthday anniversary last November on the 21st.
