MADISON WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE

Mrs. H. F. Cunningham, a former resident of Madison county, committed suicide by hanging April 19, at her home in Germola, Kansas. Mr. Cunningham, returning to the house after a short absence, found the body.

Mr. Cunningham owned the general merchandise store at Webster several years. Last September the family moved to Kansas. Mrs. Cunningham had never liked her new home and often stated that she was homesick for her old neighbors. About a week ago the Gremola bank failed and the loss which the family incurred added to her despondency.

Funeral services were held at Germola and burial was made there.

MIDDLE RIVER

Word was received Thursday of the death of Mrs. H. F. Cunningham, wife of H. F. Cunningham, who kept store at Webster for several years. They sold out and left last September, going to Gemola, Kansas, where they bought a home.

Mrs. Cunningham had been very homesick for her home in Webster and a few weeks ago the Gemola bank was closed and they lost all the money they had there and Mrs. Cunningham was worried about it.

On Monday while Mr. Cunningham was up town Mrs. Cunningham took her own life by hanging herself. She was dead when Mr. Cunningham found her. She was buried at Gemola, Kansas.

Mr. Cunningham has the sympathy of this community.
