MARIE ELIZABETH DEEDS,
Winterset, formerly Des Moines

Marie Elizabeth Deeds, 94, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at West Bridge Care Center in Winterset. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at McLaren's Chapel with a funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.

Marie was born July 25, 1922 in Miami, OK to John and Sarah (Copley) Hoppers. She enjoyed playing cards, loved to dance, play the harmonica and piano and eat chocolate.

Marie is survived by her three daughters, Deanna Lytner of McHenry, IL, Linda (Fred) Stoeffler of Winterset and Sandra (Stephen) Chapman of Columbia, MO; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; son, Johnnie Michael Knapp; grandson, Matthew Vierling; sister, Ruby (Arthur Lee) Fisher and son-in-law, Tony Lytner.
