Clarinda M. Suchy, 82, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Winterset Care Center North. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at McLaren's Chapel with burial at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines.
Clarinda was born August 25, 1934 in Keokuk, IA. She was a cook at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Clarinda was a member of the Home League at the Salvation Army Temple Corps. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Clarinda is survived by her daughter, Maxine Kuhns of Leavenworth, KS; sons, Douglas Suchy of Marshalltown and David Suchy of Leavenworth, KS; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Suchy; parents; and two brothers.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McLaren's Chapel. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Salvation Army or (JDRF) Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
