Page 4Mrs. Edith Baker Dies at Truro
Mrs. Edith M. Baker of Truro died Monday, May 23, at Clarke County hospital in Osceola. She was 76 years of age.
Mrs. Baker was a native of the Barney community, where she was born April 22, 1890. She was the former Edith M. Guthrie, daughter of Charles and Minnie Gorr Guthrie. She was a member of the Methodist church.
She was married in 1908 to Loff F. Baker.
Surviving are a son, Floyd Baker of New Province, N. Y.; a daughter, Dorothy, of California; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a brother, Ralph Guthrie of Lenox; and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Stevenson of Osceola.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. James Nicholson. Burial was made in the Murray cemetery.
