John Piatt received word last week of the death of his mother, Mrs. Sarah J. Piatt, in Wellington, Colorado.

Page 8MOTHER OF A.J. AND CHAS. PIATT DEAD
Mrs. Sarah Piatt, mother of Chas. and A. J. Piatt of Wellington, died this afternoon at the latter's home from heart trouble and bronchial asthma. She came to Wellington only seven weeks ago to make her home with her son and family. It is believed the altitude was more than she could stand in her condition, especially on account of her advanced age. She was 81 years old on December 26.
The deceased is survived by another son and two daughters in addition to a brother and half sister in Iowa.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.
