Page 1, Column 2LONG TIME RESIDENT DIES AT HOME IN PERU
Isam K. Barnes, long time resident of Walnut township who lived west of Peru, died Wednesday night, March 30, at his home. Mr. Barnes was seventy five years old and had been ill for over a year with heart disease and complications.
The Rev. Sands, pastor of the Peru church, conducted the services at the church Monday and burial was made in the Ebenezer cemetery.
Mrs. Barnes, a son, Isam Barnes, of Minnesota, and four daughters survive.

Isam K. Barnes, 75, who has lived here many years, died Wednesday, March 30, at his home west or Peru, after a year’s illness from heart disease and complications. He is survived by his wife, four daughters and one son.
Funeral services were Monday, April 4 at the Peru church and burial was in Ebenezer cemetery. Their many friends extend sympathy to the family.

The funeral of Isam Barnes who died last Wednesday was held here on Monday afternoon. Burial was in the Ebenezer cemetery.
