Mrs. Ede Iwed, Former Resident, Dies at Osceola

Friends and relatives were saddened to hear of the death of Mrs. Ede Iwed in a Osceola hospital Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Webster funeral home with interment in the Young cemetery. Mrs. Iwed will be remembered as Ede Morris, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Art Morris, formerly of this place.

Funeral Services For Mrs. Iwed

Died At Local Hospital; Husband Overseas

Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Webster Funeral Home for Mrs. Russel Iwed, who passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday of last week. Rev. Frank Jacobs officiated and burial was in the Truro cemetery.

Ede Jerome Morris was born on Jan. 26, 1921, in Madison county, and lived most of her life there, except the last nine years which she had lived near Osceola, Ia. At the time of her death she was 21 years, 10 months and 20 days of age.

She was united in marriage to Russel Iwed on June 3, 1941, at Bethany, Mo. They made their home at Creston and Glenwood until he was called into the service in April 1942. Since that time she had made her home with her parents. Her husband is now overseas in the service of his country.

A daughter, Doris Irene, was born on Dec. 12, 1942.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband; the infant daughter; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Morris; three brothers, David, who is in service, Merill and Lester; two sisters, Mable and Mary, all at home, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller, and Mrs. Mala Morris, and Mr. Iwed; also two sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives and friends.
