Last Wednesday, March 17th, at her home one mile west of Union Chapel, occurred the death of Mrs. Daniel Murphy, aged 60 years. The immediate cause of her death was from the effect of a large carbunckle on the back of her neck.
Rev. Williams, a former pastor preached the funeral sermon at the Chapel on Friday at 11 o’clock and the remains were interred in the cemetery adjoining the church yard. She leaves a husband and seven children, all grown to mourn her loss. Mrs. Murphy was an exemplary Christian lady and her family has the sympathy of the neighborhood in their bereavement.
