Wm. W. Hartman Dies in Creston

William W. Hartman, 59, died in the Creston hospital, Sunday, Nov. 6, following an extended illness. Mr. Hartman was born in Winterset, Sept. 18, 1879. He was married to Jessie Childers in 1910. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Mildred Punkle of Charlestown, W. Va.; Mrs. Cecil Lucas and Raymond Hartman of Creston. They moved to Creston in 1910 where they reared their children. The couple separated in 1920.

Those who survive are the three children, two grandsons, one sister, Mrs. Walter Gray of Peru; two brothers, Walter of Red Oak and George of Elliston and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Those preceding him are his parents, four brothers, Jim, John, Frank, Joe and one sister, Blanche.

The funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday, Nov. 8, at two-thirty and burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery in Winterset.
