Rilla Goldman, daughter of John and Sarah Goldman, was born at Crawford, Ind. March 13, 1869 and passed away at the home of her son, Byrd Williams, in Stuart, March 15, 1952 at the age of 83 years and two days. All of her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death.

On July 19, 1896 she was united in marriage to Edward Williams at Gards Point, Ill. To this union were born six children, all of whom survive her.

She and her husband established their home in Wabash County, Ill. In 1907 they moved to a farm near Pitzer, Madison County, Iowa, and this was her home until the death of her husband in 1920. The remainder of her life has been spent with her children and in her home, which she owned for 18 years, in south Stuart.

She is survived by her four sons, David Sherman, Clark, John and Byrd all of Stuart, and two daughters, Mary Wilson of Redfield and Golda Fleming of Garner, Iowa. There are nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams was a member of the Pitzer Presbyterian church. She was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a true friend, a good neighbor and no words can express her pride and delight in her children and grandchildren and their welfare and personal interests.

Services were conducted by the Rev. E. Harold Jackson and Rev. Ernest Smith from the Methodist church at 2:00 p.m. on March 18. Music was by Robert Lawson and Robin Lawson. Flower Ladies were Mrs. Carl Tyson, Mrs. H. P. Bunce and Mrs. Orville Wines. Honorary casketbearers were Warren Williams, Hayden Williams, Elbert Williams, Floyd Wilson and Paul Williams, Byrd Williams, Jr., Robert Williams and John Williams. Casketbearers were T. A. Doud, Irvin Denning, John Gingery, J. S. Lydon, Carl Tyson and R. S. Lydon.

Interment was at the Penn Center cemetery.
