Page 15Services for Clarence Bowlsby, 80 of 1247 Thirty-first St., will be at 10:30 a. m. Friday at Evan Lilly’s funeral home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens East.
Mr. Bowlsby died Monday at Broadlawns Tuberculosis hospital after a five-year illness. A retired carpenter, he had lived in Des Moines five years. He was born in Madison County.
He was a member of the carpenters union and the Sons of Union Veterans.
Surviving are his widow, Emma; two sons, Everett W. of Des Moines and Merle E. of Milford, Conn.; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Hahn of Portland, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. May Davidson of Des Moines and Mrs. Bertha Weyrauch of Williams Bay, Wis.; a brother, Frank, of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
