Chas. Blair went to Des Moines on Saturday to visit Don Akin, who was very ill. Mr. Akin died that evening. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church on Tuesday at 2:30 and burial was in the Moon cemetery. More details will be in the next issue of this paper.

Coordinator's note: His gravestone says "Akins" but his 1917 Draft Registration and his 1925 Marriage Registration both say "Akin" which is his parent's name and the obituary likely has the correct spelling. Brothers Glenn & Floyd both have "Akin" on their gravestones.
