PATRICIA 'PAT' MORRIS, Earlham

Patricia Morris, 78, of Earlham passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at HCI-Kavanagh House in Des Moines. No services are planned at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Earlham Rescue Unit and/or HCI-Kavanagh House and sent in care of Johnson Family Funeral Home, PO Box 246, Stuart, IA 50250. Pat was born on March 15, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa. She graduated high school from Richland Township near Orient, Iowa. Following graduation she begin working for the State of Iowa in The Dept. of Revenue; she continued her working career with the State of Iowa and retired as a computer programmer for The Dept. of Employment Services. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Edward Morris, to this union two children were born, Carla and Kenneth. Pat was a member of the Eastern Stars in Earlham and the American Business Women’s Association. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, cooking, reading and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth in 2005; and parents, Clarence and Lavonna Vaughan.

Pat is survived by her children, Carla (Wayne) Young of Des Moines and Ken (Mai) Morris of Earlham; grandchildren: Shana, Andrew, Elizabeth, Raegan and Kennedy; great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Paris, Emmett and Desire; sister, Barb Zellweger of Creston and a host of family and friends that will miss her dearly.
