Page 6, Column 3/4J. W. Lee of Des Moines, who has been staying at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Dykstra, for some weeks past, died last Thursday after several weeks of illness. Deceased was seventy years of age and is survived by his wife and six daughters.
The funeral services were conducted at the Dykstra home by Rev. McEwan.
The two daughters who came to attend the funeral, Mrs. Elkins of Sioux City and Mrs. Snow of Earlham, returned to their respective homes on Monday. The widow, Mrs. Lee, also returned that day to her home in Des Moines.
________________________Transcriber's note: First name taken from the 1870 Federal Census. The deceased lived in Madison County in the 1870s and again in the 1890s through the early 1900s.
