Hiram Charles Little, 87, of Murray died Wednesday, July 1, at Galesburg, Illinois. He had lived in the Murray community since 1942 and was a retired farmer. He had farmed most of his life in Madison County.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at the Watt-Soll funeral home at Murray, Rev. Walter Williams officiated. Burial was in the Union cemetery, north of Murray.
Hiram C. Little was born at Sibley, June 2, 1893. He was the son of Hiram and Anna Harrison Little. He grew up at Ceylon, Wisconsin. He was married, January 24, 1923, at Osceola to Iva Loomis, who preceded him in death October 10, 1966.
Mr. Little is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Donald Moffitt of Murray, Mrs. Harold Denley of Galesburg, Illinois, Mrs. Dean O’Neal of Rosevill, Illinois, a son, Paul Little of Creston; six grandchildren; and a half-sister, Mrs. Blanche Grasty of Iowa City. He was preceded in death by a daughter, a granddaughter and ten sisters.
