Irma Roach, Cumming

Irma Roach, age 91, a long-time Cumming area resident, died peacefully Monday evening, November 21, 2016 at Regency Care Center in Norwalk where she has resided since 2009.

Irma Jean Roach will be remembered fondly as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her love of her farm and flower garden could be measured year round from early spring tulips and daffodils, to summer peonies and fall roses. Her gift to create a feast and serve each person with a special memory will last a lifetime, from roast beef dinners, farm walnuts, banana bread, and chocolate covered turtles. Her daily and constant strength, courage and faith inspired everyone that was blessed to know her. She was married to Harlan Franklin Roach on May 10, 1943 and created a beautiful family. Her love lives on in her children, Donald (Suzette) Roach, Linda (Fred) Reese, and David (Dee) Roach as well as her 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan in 1993 and her daughter, Judy in 1955.

Visitation 12 Noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, November 27th with a Funeral Service 10 a.m. Monday, November 28th at O'Leary Funeral Services in Norwalk. Memorials to Harvest Community Church in Cumming will be accepted.

Transcriber's note: Deceased grew up in Madison County and was in the 1930 Federal Census in Madison Township.
