Marcia Duncan

Marcia Ann (Lillard) Duncan died September 22, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born to Donal R. and Eva Gem Lillard in Winterset, Iowa, on May 18, 1935. After graduating high school in Winterset, Marcia studied home economics at Iowa State University, where she met her husband of 59 years, Edward L. Duncan. She completed her education at Wayne State University, and taught Junior High science in Lake Orion, MI for many years.

Predeceasing her are husband Ed, and son Bruce.

She is survived by sons Dan (Mary Whittaker), Doug (Teresa Denton), daughter Kathy Monroe (Bill), and grandchildren Sam, Jesse, Ania, Andy, Emma, Jeremiah, Julia, and Tess, and great-grandson Kai Monroe; as well as a sister Judy (Larry) Wright and brother David.

Marcia had a keen sense of humor and loved having friends and family at her table, and never hesitated to add another plate for an unexpected guest.

A celebration of her life will be at the Frankfort United Methodist Church, September 26, at 11 a.m.
