Peru Happenings

Mr. Gilbert, who lived alone in the west part of town, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lloyd Woods in Osceola. The funeral was held on Friday.

County Briefs – Peru

W. H. Gilbert died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Woods, at Murray Monday after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Barney Friday afternoon.

Mr. Gilbert spent most of his life in the Barney neighborhood but had lived for several years in Peru where he followed the trade of broom making.

He is survived by several children.
