Mrs. Nelson Curtis died at her home southeast of Winterset on Saturday, Jan. 10th, from the effects of an operation. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald. Her former home was in Monticello, Iowa, the family having moved here a year ago.

Mrs. Curtis left a husband and two young sons to mourn her loss. The funeral services were held at the Curtis farm on Monday at 1 o’clock, Rev. R. R. Marquis conducting them.
