Nathan Lee Horn, 42, died Sunday, November 6th, surrounded by his family. Nathan was born October 20, 1974 in Winterset. He graduated from Ames High School in 1993 earning an art scholarship and attended the Chicago School of Arts. He was creatively gifted and worked with drama, performance art, culinary arts, as well as paintings and drawings.
He lived in Madison, WI, Ames, and Sarasota, FL. His latest project was opening the Truthful Art Studio in Wichita Falls, TX.
Nathan, loved by many, is survived by his parents, Richard and Beverly; brother Justin (all of Sarasota); sister Emily (Dan) Fincham and nephew Elias (Carrollton, GA). Grandmothers Ruby Hendrickson and Nancy Horn (Winterset), aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held November 20, 2 p.m. at the Octagon Art Center in Ames. Memorials may be made to Octagon Art Center .
