Mrs. Lloyd Wilkinson Dies

Mrs. Lloyd Wilkinson passed away at the home of her parents in Des Moines, Tuesday evening about 7:30. Mrs. Wilkinson was taken to Des Moines in January, where she was under the care of a specialist for several months, she later returned to Winterset. In July she was taken to the state hospital at Oakdale, but other complications developed that was more than her frail body could throw off. Her early passing was received with much regret by her relatives and friends and much sympathy is felt for the husband and small son. A sketch of her life follows:

Ferne Lawrence Wilkinson was born near Truro, Iowa, September 1, 1891 and departed this life at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Lawrence in Des Moines, November 17, 1925, at the age of 34 years, 2 months and 16 days. In 1911 she moved with her parents to Winterset where she has since resided. She united with the Ohio Baptist church in the year of 1910 and later transferred her membership to the Winterset Baptist church.

On October 29, 1921 she was united in marriage to Lloyd Wilkinson. To this union was born one child William Lawrence Wilkinson, aged 2 years and 7 months.

She is survived by besides her husband and son, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. C. Lawrence, two sisters, Mrs. L. H. Krell and Nellie Lawrence, all of Des Moines and one brother, Roy Lawrence of Miami, Florida.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. P. Fogdall at the Tidrick Funeral home this morning at eleven o’clock and interment in Rock City cemetery.
