John Moore died Wednesday, September 30, at the age of 61. Funeral services were conducted from Ramsey-Richards funeral home Friday, conducted by the Rev. H. L. Olmstead. Burial was in the Winterset cemetery.

Coordinator's notes: Middle initial from Iowa Death Certificate. The death certificate had date of birth as unknown and age about 61. In early censuses, he was consistently born in 1867-68 and the 1900 census was November 1867 so he was age 68 at the time of his death.
