J. L. Fleming died at his home in the west part of town early Monday morning, after a long and painful illness.

The City and County

J. L. Fleming, of St. Charles, died on Monday. He had been ailing from heart trouble for a year or more and the end was not unexpected. For many years, he was one of the active men of that community and his death removes a good citizen. Mrs. Fleming and two daughters survive him.
