Sandi worked as a nurse’s aide at Winterset Care Center North for over 15 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Scranton. Sandi was an avid reader who also enjoyed watching movies and crime TV shows. She was a wonderful “cooker” and always had a pot of Mac N’ Cheese ready for the grandchildren when they visited. Sandi always encouraged and reminded everybody to write letters to her before they left. She loved talking with her grandchildren daily through Facebook. Sandi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and friends.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Loyde Brown of St. Charles; children, Todd Brown of St. Charles and Tonya (Mike) Kerres of Omaha; four grandchildren, Brandon Roberts, Alix (Nick) Ghiai, Abigail (Zach Nutt) Kerres, Hannah Kerres; two great grandchildren, Brett and Ava Ghiai; sisters, Sharon (Keith) Millsap of Winterset, Eloise (Orville) Umbaugh of Scranton; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Robert) Newton, Arlene (Bryce) Beerends, Mary (John) Onstot; brother-in-law, Wayne Speer; many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends.

Sandi was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Barbara; brother, Jerry in infancy; sister-in-law, LaDonna Speer; and brother-in-law, Larry Brown.
