Redmond Porter, a former Peru resident, died at his home in Lorimor and the funeral was held here Tuesday.

Redman Porter died suddenly of a heart attack, Wednesday evening in Lorimor. He and his nephew, John Porter of Creston were in a store at the time. He had been in poor health for a long time.

Mr. Porter's early life was spent in this community, but he lived for a good many years in Texas. He and Mrs. Porter lived in Peru for a few months, before buying a home in Lorimor about two years ago.

He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Elsie, who has been employed in defense work on the Pacific coast.

Funeral services were held in Lorimor, Wednesday, April 4, and burial was in the Peru cemetery.
