Gertrude Gutshall Hague was born near Van Meter, April 15th, 1881 and departed this life April 30th, 1947 at the age of 66 years, 15 days. She was a resident of Dallas county nearly all her life until January 1947 when they moved to West Des Moines. She united with the Union Chapel United Brethren church in her early teens later transferring to the Christian church where it still remains.

She was united in marriage to S. M. Hague November 27, 1901 and to this union was born six children. Zada died in infancy.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, five children, Don of Adel; Kenneth of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Irene Robison of Booneville; Fern Daugherty and Maxine Fidler of West Des Moines; four grandchildren, her father, Harry Gutshall of Van Meter, two sisters and a brother, Clara Gutshall and Max Gutshall of Van Meter and Vivian Reese of Des Moines and a host of other relatives and friends.
