Mr. L. L. Fisher, an old time resident of Lincoln township, died at his home near Afton Saturday, aged 74 years. Mr. Fisher had recently received a stroke of paralysis but he seemed to be improving Saturday morning but died suddenly in the afternoon. His wife died several years ago. He has two sons Charles D. and Mel living in this county, and is the father of Mrs. Henry Macumber, Mrs. William DeMarr, and Misses Lida and Emma Fisher and two other daughters. The funeral services were held at Union Chapel Monday, conducted by Rev. Callison.

Coordinator's note: First name varied between "Louis" and "Lewis" in various censuses but son's gravestone is "Louis" so that is presumed correct. Also, the gravestone says the deceased died March 17th but that is a Wednesday whereas April 17th is a Saturday and the text of the newspaper appears to be correct and the gravestone is likely incorrect.
