Mrs. Mattie Larson, formerly Miss Mattie Wood, and at one time candidate for superintendent of schools in this county, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. Geo. Moore, northwest of St. Charles on Wednesday morning of last week, and was interred in the cemetery at Union Chapel on Friday.

Mrs. Swin Larson, from Cripple Creek, Col., died at her sister’s Mrs. George Moore, July 27th. She leaves a husband and two sisters to mourn her loss. Mr. Larson will return to Cripple Creek this week and resume the operations of his mines at that place. He has the sympathy of the entire community in his bereavement.
