Page 4Robert Eugene Waltz, son of Elgie and Lenna Grout Waltz, was born in Madison county, Iowa, on November 19, 1916. He died in his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, on July 27, 1982, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 8 days.
On October 17, 1937, he married Edna Cade in Trinity Lutheran Church, Van Meter. The marriage was blessed with a daughter, Linda, and a son, Richard.
He was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church, Van Meter.
From 1950 to 1966 Mr. Waltz and his family lived in Aberdeen, South Dakota, where he was in business. From 1968 to 1979 he lived in Kansas City, Mo., from which he and his wife moved to Salt Lake City.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Waltz is survived by his wife, his daughter, Mrs. Marvin Jones of Murray, Utah; his son, Richard of Groton, Massachussetts; one brother Glen of Stanwood, Iowa; and five grandchildren.
